Since personal information is discussed, we reserve the right to require the completion of the questionnaire, as well for online appointments. Furthermore, this serves to protect the patient and for legal reasons, we are obliged to have a completed and signed questionnaire from each patient. 

Before your visit to BioMed Center Sonnenberg, you should note:

• Have you sent all the necessary documents in advance?
• Bring a valid ID card or passport.
• If you have a lab appointment first thing in the morning, please do not use the restroom beforehand.
• Please check the credit card limit and clarify this with your payment institution if necessary.

The question "what can I already do myself until my first appointment"? occurs more and more. 

Detailed advice cannot be given before an initial appointment because you are not yet known to our doctors. Usually, our patients are already undergoing medical treatment anyway.  

Please find below general advice:

• try to follow an animal protein-free diet
• strictly avoid animal dairy products
• drastically reduce your sugar consumption
• drink a lot of pure water (about 2 liters per day)
• do not drink any sweet drinks or "light" drinks.
  These almost all contain very problematic sweeteners and flavorings or additives.
• do not smoke or already try to reduce your nicotine consumption

The latter recommendations of our doctors will go further and might also include natural remedies. An individual recommendation is of course only possible when we know you personally.

During the initial consultation, your doctor will take a detailed medical history to understand your medical history and current symptoms. A baseline exam with labs will be performed to assess your health and physical condition.

Your patient data will always remain with the doctor's office or the clinic where you have been treated till now. 

Although you have already been treated by Dr. Rau at the Paracelsus Clinic, Lustmühle, the clinic remains responsible for your data. It is not allowed to simply transfer this data by the doctor. Patient data may only be released directly upon request of a patient. The data protection for medical data is very clear.

It is necessary to complete and submit the registration form again because BioMed Center Sonnenberg AG is an independent facility. For patient protection and legal reasons, we are required to have a completed and signed questionnaire from each patient. However, this process does not affect your treatment, which can continue as usual after we have received your registration form.

In order to make an appointment, we need some information from you in advance. Therefore, we ask you to complete and send the health questionnaire. 

The coverage of costs by each health insurance company is regulated individually, as our treatments are mostly billed through supplementary insurance. Swiss insurance companies cover only a small part or no cost of the treatments.
 
From experience, foreign health insurance companies do not cover the cost of treatment. However, there are a few exceptions. We recommend that you contact your insurance company prior to your visit to determine if you have cost coverage. It is also important to clarify whether you will be reimbursed a part of the costs, if any, by your health insurance company, as a deposit is required.

All floors are accessible by lift and the building is wheelchair accessible. 
Please note that there is no 24-hour assistance or medical support at the hotel. If you are in need of assistance, we recommend that you organize this before your visit. 
You are welcome to discuss the details with us in person when you check-in. 

We are happy to book a shuttle service for you for your arrival. Please inform us if needed.

The Sonnenberg Health Hotel is in the same building. The rooms are directly accessible by elevator.

Please note that there is no 24-hour care and medical supervision in the hotel.
